- This is an old document describing how the equations in the
\texttt{PtoleMetric} function in LAL were derived. It is a fast approximate parameter space metric for continuous-wave searches for isolated sources. It was used in some early Einstein@Home S5 searches, and a version of this document appeared as part of David Whitbeck's 2006 Ph.D. thesis.
