Abstract:

The effect of random thickness error on two candidate thermal noise minimizing ETM design is shown. One is a 19 layer repeating pair mirror. The other is a non-quarterwave, near quarterwave, non-repeating mirror that puts the relevant wavelengths closer to peak for less sensitivity to error.
