Abstract:

Reviewing the Magnetometer chain DC power requirements uncovers two DC voltages used: 12VDC and +-15VDC. The question arises as to whether one or both can be replaced by the standard 18VDC. The Magnetometer Power Supply MAG-03PSU will support 18VDC. The Magnetometer Filter Box (known as D070443, but secretly D030574) is simulated in LTSpice for the purpose of determining the effects of increasing its input drive voltages from ±15VDC to ±18VDC.
