ECR: Replacement of the coil-series resistors in the HAM-A coil drivers

Abstract:

The dynamic range requirement for the aLIGO HAM-A coil driver is 35 mA p-p for frequencies 1 kHz. However, under the current design they are generating a maximum of 201 mA, which has potential for introducing unwanted actuation noise, as well as some potential for damage. An increase in the coil-series resistance by a factor of 10 will correct this problem.
