- This process specification is for the oxidation of mirrored finished (Super #8), 304 stainless steel for use for sheet metal baffles for Advanced LIGO. It includes material requirements, process and preparation for oxidizing the sheet material after the baffle has been manufactured. These baffles are for use in an Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) system.
