Abstract:

Motor assembly to drive the horizontal ballscrew unit. This was a feature of the design for EGO. It is no longer an essential machine feature, and is removed from the design configuration used for aLIGO.

Notes and Changes:

v1 = 00 for EGO. Design no longer required for the aLIGO CO2 Machine configuration. It was though during early monolithic development work in Glasgow, that this feature might be useful in terms of using the machine to perform the laser welding of a suspension. This was not practical, and this job is now done by the Articulated Arm (for welding). (R.JONES)
