This document communicates graphically information previously covered by D1002892. It explains and describes both the HAM and BSC chamber feed-through types, naming convention, feedthrough types, typical sub-flanges and a guide to port configurations.
DO NOT USE THIS AS A REFERENCE FOR FLANGE ASSIGNMENTS, INSTEAD GO TO THE FLANGE LAYOUT FOR A SPECIFIC CHAMBER, THESE ARE ALL REFERENCED BELOW.
Spreadsheet to help cross referencing D#, Part numbers and Types can be found here
Redlines to incorporate to -v10 : Make sure the orientation of the flanges is consistent (convention is long side up). Add note for 5 way cross. Cross #5 should be attached to chamber, and should be the rotatable flange side. D2100604 (triax) is missing from the vault-v10 : AP: Added new description of connector designation with 5 way coax + example. Added superseded sign for TYPE D and TYPE E.
-v9: Incorporated -v8 redlines:
1- Swapped order of Type E (5 way coax on top for consistency).
2- Changed dual 5pin coax (Type 'D') D# from D1600167 to D2400338. Modified P/N to the correct 100522
3- Removed notes 1. and 2. with references to D980226 and D980227 (that are already shown on the Connector-Designation diagram middle/top row.
4- Added note for scribing best practice
5- Added note for type D and E 5 way COAX based on ECR https://dcc.ligo.org/LIGO-E2400387
6- From Betsy : we should purchase double 5 pin coax instead of single 5 pin coax to maximize feedthrough space
7- Added D2400339 reference for TYPE K
8- Note - Chamber flange layout should call out for Flange type and connector type. For instance, this will differentiate between Type A 'BNC' and Type A 'SMA'.
